FBS ES Cell Pre-Tested — Embryonic Stem Cell & iPSC Qualified

Embryonic stem cells (ESC) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) are uniquely sensitive to serum lot variability. Even small differences in growth factor composition, endotoxin levels, or uncharacterised inhibitory factors between FBS lots can cause spontaneous differentiation, loss of pluripotency markers, and inability to maintain self-renewing colonies. ES Cell Pre-Tested FBS is batch-validated specifically for its ability to maintain pluripotency in mouse ESC or human iPSC — removing the need for individual lot testing in your lab.

The lot-to-lot problem: Not all FBS lots support pluripotent stem cell growth equally. Standard FBS lots are tested for general cell culture performance but not for pluripotency maintenance specifically. ES Cell Pre-Tested FBS is screened against pluripotency endpoints — saving 4–8 weeks of in-house lot validation per lot change.
